BAFF 2017 is open for submissions

 

 

BAFF 2016 was an astounding success, with film submissions from over 15 countries around the world.

In 2017 we hope to receive film submissions from even more countries and to expand our reach to audiences and filmmakers alike, representing all cultural intersections. We are truly committed to engaging persons of all nations and identities.

Submissions will close on July 31, 2017. Submission guidelines are as follows:

ELIGIBILITY:

- Will not accept films over 20 minutes

- Film must be about diversity (disability, culture diversity, sexual orientation, mental health, creator is diverse, etc.)

- Films must be submitted to appropriate category or will not be considered.

All films are viewed and reviewed by our screeners. ‎ While we encourage everybody to make and submit their best films, your film will be forwarded to the jury only if it meets the following criteria :

1). Your film is entered in the correct category.

2). Your film must contribute to the understanding and / or culture of disability / diversity.

3). Your film contains unique and original elements such as narrative, storyline, music, perspective, continuity etc.

The Awards Gala takes place on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Those who cannot attend the Gala will be contacted for delivery options.
